About Me

 Thanks for stopping by Kitchen Ambition!  I am Tracy, a 28 year old workin' girl living in Atlanta.  After years of following lots of cooking and healthy living blogs, I finally started my own little corner of the blogosphere in late summer 2009.  Since then, I've really enjoyed expanding my culinary adventures and documenting some of it here!  


I didn't always love to cook; in fact in college my then boyfriend, now husband, John, had to teach me how to scramble eggs!  It's not that my parents didn't try to teach me; I just wasn't interested until going out on my own.

Now, I really enjoy cooking healthy recipes, baking sweet treats, and learning about food and nutrition in general.  Yes, it's a hobby, but it also makes up a large part of who I am and I'm thrilled to share some of that with you!  John loves to grill out, whether it's on the Big Green Egg or on his gas grill, so you'll see lots of tag-team recipes here where he handles the main course and I make the sides.

Other interests of mine include traveling, exercise, being outdoors, music, spending time with friends, and Georgia football.

Oh, and how could I write an "About Me" page without sharing pictures of the newest addition to our family, Sam, the Golden Retriever?  He's such a ball of happiness and makes us laugh every single day!
